Koester and Rhodes continue their dominance on Lake Erie

Jeff Koester of Brookville, IN and Scott Rhodes of Traverse City, MI won the bracketed Walleye Madness tournament for the second year in a row. They took home $10,000 for their victory and continue to hold on to the Walleye Madness crown.
Repeating as Walleye Madness Champions was definitely not an easy challenge as they faced elimination in the semi-finals and finals if they did catch an additional fish in the final minutes prior to heading back to weigh-in. Luckily, fish bit their lines at the right time and after getting them in to their livewell, Koester and Rhodes took off for the weigh-in. They bested Randy Carroll of Oswego, IL and Don Olson of Andover, MN by 3.64 lbs. in the semi-finals. This allowed them to move on to the Finals to face Steve Skupien of Frankfort, IL and Dave Kleszyk of Oakbrook Terrace, IL whom they beat by 3.42 lbs to capture their 2nd Walleye Madness Championship.
